X.eMAR APP Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Medxsol (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you (a “User,” which includes healthcare professionals, nurses, pharmacists, physicians, and authorized family members) use the XeMAR mobile application (the “App”). The App is designed to facilitate medication management and create digital MAR sheets for patients receiving home healthcare services. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all Users, especially the privacy of patient information.

1. Information We Collect:

The App collects the following types of information:

  • Patient Information: This includes personally identifiable information about patients receiving care, such as:
    • Name
    • Date of birth
    • Address
    • Health Insurance information including PHN( Personal Health Number)
    • Medical history (including medications, allergies, and diagnoses)
    • Vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature)
  • Medication Information: This includes details about prescribed medications, such as:
    • Medication name
    • Dosage
    • Frequency
    • Route of administration
  • User Information: This includes information about healthcare professionals and authorized family members using the App, such as:
    • Name
    • Professional credentials (if applicable)
    • Contact information
    • User login credentials
  • Usage Data: This includes information about how the App is used, such as:
    • Date and time of access
    • Actions taken within the App (e.g., medication administration records, vital sign entries)
    • Device information (e.g., device type, operating system)

2. How We Use Information:

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Medication Management: To facilitate accurate medication administration and tracking, including generating digital MAR sheets.
  • Care Coordination: To share relevant patient information with authorized healthcare professionals (nurses, pharmacists, physicians) and family members involved in the patient’s care.
  • Communication: To enable communication between healthcare professionals and authorized family members regarding patient care.
  • App Improvement: To analyze usage data and improve the functionality and user experience of the App.
  • Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations related to healthcare information privacy and security.

3. How We Share Information:

We may share information collected through the App with the following parties:

  • Authorized Healthcare Professionals: We share patient information with nurses, pharmacists, and physicians involved in the patient’s care.
  • Authorized Family Members: We share relevant patient information with family members who have been authorized by the patient or their legal representative.
  • Service Providers: We may engage third-party service providers to assist with data storage, processing, and other services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Legal Authorities: We may disclose information to legal authorities if required by law or legal process.

4. Data Security:

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the App from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. These measures include: 

  • Encryption: We use encryption to protect data transmitted and stored within the App.
  • Access Controls: We implement access controls to restrict access to patient information to authorized users.
  • Regular Security Assessments: We conduct regular security assessments to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

X.eMAR retains user account information and app-related data only for as long as necessary to provide the app’s services, maintain business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If a user requests deletion of their account or personal data, we will delete or anonymize the data associated with the user’s account, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or regulatory purposes. Some backup copies or system logs may remain for a limited period before being automatically deleted as part of our normal backup and security procedures. 6. User Responsibilities:

Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for using the App in a responsible and ethical manner. Users should immediately notify us of any suspected unauthorized access to their accounts or patient information.

7. Children’s Privacy:

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 

8. Changes to this Privacy Policy: 

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the updated Privacy Policy within the App.
